Artemis ITLS Limited, is founded from 35-years of un-paralleled expert knowledge and innovative design in the fields of high-speed manufacturing and item level passive tagging within: Industrial, Logistics and Retail Store (total end to end solutions) environments. Our strength stems from combining our extensive design know-how with our industrial experience.
Having been the first to successfully implement tagging for Retail items, thus establishing the virtues of Tagging before any standards or organisations were available. This work has led to the development of pioneering tag readers and gave a probing practical understanding of tagging requirements, capabilities, limitations and knowhow as to the areas to focus on to achieve enhancements and tangible benefits that accrue from the deployment of RFID solutions.
Experience & Innovative Solutions
Our expertise is well proven and starts with the design of the world’s first industrialised Portal for high volume dynamic HF RFID. Then followed by a purpose designed Handheld RFID Reader for a leading high street retailer. This wealth and depth of expert knowledge places us in a position that has started by nearly two decades ago RFID enabling their food trays with HF tags, designing Industrial Handhelds and unique Portals. This technology enabling building blocks allowed accurate despatch and receipt of goods and merchandise at distribution depots, this through the effective reduction in time of vehicle delivery confirmation from 1 ½ hours to c15mins. This substantial time saving has enabled the retailer to expand their business over a period of 1year less than anticipated. The huge success and very impressive return on investment, also reduced errors in accuracy, gave suppliers accurate visibility over stock, produced forward shipping notices, gave them more time for delivery that by themselves became of added bonus.
Over the years there have been many changes, with technology rapidly moving in both integrated circuitry (IC) and antenna design. During the past 12-years we have been exclusively engaged in ensuring both tags and equipment remained the “best from the rest” for what is their current revenue for clothing and home standing at £3.5bn, with Apparel clothing and Homeware departments being corrected for actual stock on a regular cycle, maintaining availability in store for size variation and complexity. The availability of stock in store has proven through comparative testing to increase sales by between 7% to 12%.
This has been achieved by our focus of selecting the best suited enabling tools and consumables for the products, whilst maintaining a sensible manageable range, thus ensuring control sustainability over the years.
Maintaining this high diligence has ensured there has been no issues with tagging including their readability. Mainly due to the practice of picking “the best from the rest”, testing to high standards ensuring the Retailer has not had to ‘redesign, packaging, displays or transportation for storage and distribution’.
